Guardian Management is a locally owned and operated essential service provider firm in Hawaii. Founded in 2019 with the principles of passion, integrity and discipline, the management team has extensive experience in building and facility management. We focus on staffing building and site managers for Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO), reserve studies, as well as providing building maintenance services such as cleaning, janitorial, landscaping and basic handyman needs.
President, Derrick Lajola, is deeply rooted in Hawaii’s local culture. Lajola graduated from Iolani School in 2003 prior to earning a full-athletic scholarship to the University of Hawaii Men’s Tennis Team where he earned his BA in Marketing and MBA from the Shidler School of Business. He worked extensively for the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Budget and Fiscal Services procuring some of the City’s most notable construction and development projects prior to launching Guardian Group and the parent company of Guardian Management LLC.
Chief Operating Officer, Timothy Lu, brings extensive commercial and residential property management experience to Guardian Management LLC. A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Finance, Tim began his career managing commercial and residential properties with Sofos Realty Corporation and Hawaiian Properties, Ltd. before joining Guardian Management LLC in 2022 as COO, where he leverages his operational expertise and real estate background to drive growth and deliver exceptional service across Hawaii’s communities.
